Career Summary
Joe began his career in commercial real estate after his graduation from Arizona State University in 1978, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in real estate. Joe has completed over 600 transactions with sales totaling more than $250 million. Particularly well versed in the area of Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code tax-deferred exchanges, Joe advises clients in all aspects of commercial real estate property sales, investment and leasing. As an owner and developer of investment and industrial properties, Joe understands the importance of maximizing earnings potential and creating long term investment strategies. Joe’s father, Joe Azar, has been an active broker in Albuquerque for over 50 years and his son, Clay, is now actively assisting customers buy, sell and lease commercial real estate as well.
Joe’s diligent, professional and qualified attributes have contributed to his continued success and will assist him in commercial real estate for many more years to come. Joe specializes in multifamily and industrial real estate.
Interests
Joe Azar is an Albuquerque native and can frequently be found hiking in the Sandia Mountains. His passion is backpacking in the Grand Canyon or on the Continental Divide. His other hobbies include golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding and camping.
